Raiders Vs. Dolphins, Week 2: Oakland Dominated On Road In Blowout Loss

The Oakland Raiders had a rough time of it in Week 2, falling to the Miami Dolphins by a score of 35-13. The team appeared to be dominated in nearly every area of the game, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Oakland is now 0-2 this season and the schedule does not have many easy wins lined up.

SB Nation’s Raiders blog, Silver and Black Pride, was not happy with what they saw on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a bit of what they took away from the game:

The Raiders were in Miami for the second season in a row to play the Dolphins. They had vengeance on their mind after the Dolphins beat them badly in Miami 34-14. Losing by an almost identical score, only a bit worse, was not what they were hoping for.

The Raiders were dominated on both sides of the ball in this game. And it was at the hands of a team which on paper, they look to match up well with, and even have a slight advantage. But the game isn’t played on paper, its played on the field. That’s where the Raiders deficiencies went from questionable to confirmed.

The Raiders will have to regroup quickly in practice and begin preparations for Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3.
