Only opening as a six-point favorite over the Minnesota Vikings, many books have already started to slowly up the odds for the San Francisco 49ers. 5dimes.eu has given the 49ers the highest boost so far, pushing them up to an eight-point favorite in Week 3.

Minnesota won their opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars and lost to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2, with both games ending in tight, three-point finishes. Minnesota’s ability to keep those two games close may be what is keeping the line so slim against a 49ers team that has beaten both the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions as it runs through the NFC North to start the year.

The opening over/under of 43.5 points has held strong through most books, with two good defensive teams facing off against offenses that are more efficient than flashy.
