The Detroit Lions are on the road for the second straight week, as they travel to Nashville, Tenn. to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.
Week 3 NFL Picks And Predictions: Lions Vs. Titans
The Titans have been bad through the first two weeks of the season, and according to most experts’ picks, that is unlikely to change as they host the Lions in Week 3.
The Lions suffered a 27-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers last week, one week after they sneaked past the St. Louis Rams in their opener. Tennessee has struggled in its first two games, losing by an average of 24.5 points per game to the New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers.
Detroit is more on the level of the Patriots and Chargers than on that of the Titans, so this game may not be all that close. At the very least, the Lions should win, even if it’s not to the degree of the other two teams that have matched up against Tennessee. For the most part, national pundits agree.
At ESPN, nine out of the ten experts like Detroit, with two yet to make their picks. Meanwhile, all three Yahoo! experts have settled on the Lions. Finally, CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco was the only one of their writers to pick Tennessee.
