NFL Picks For All Week 3 Games

It’s Week 3, and we’re back with all the Week 3 lines, plus picks for each game. But first let’s talk about Thursday Night Football. Does anyone remember the last time we had a good Thursday Night game? Doesn’t anyone else see what’s happening here?

Thursday Night Football is cursed.

The Eagles, the luckiest 2-0 team in decades after rallying twice for 1-point victories, opened as 5.5-point road chalk back on Monday, but a steady stream of Arizona money has the line at -3 or -3.5 at most sportsbooks tracked by OddsShark.com.

”A patchwork O-Line doesn’t give many bettors a lot of comfort, especially if it means less protection for Michael Vick,” said football analysts Jack Randall of OddsShark.com. “And Arizona has quietly won nine of 11 games and have dominated the spread at home lately, going 8-3 ATS.”

Peyton Manning’s weak Monday Night performance has changed some opinions on where the Denver Broncos fit in the NFL pecking order. It also has created some uncertainty for oddsmakers, whose opinions have translated into a wide range of point spreads for Denver’s Week 3 home game against the Houston Texans.

”We have one book at a PK and another holding the Texans as 3-point favorites, which is a significant disparity in opinion this late in the week,” said Jack Randall of OddsShark.com. Other shops have the Texans as 1-point road favorites, but Bovada is so far holding the line at -3 for the Texans.

The Chargers opened as 1.5-point home favorites, according to the Week 3 NFL odds menu at OddsShark.com, against a team they have not beaten in five tries since 1991. But that number had been bet up to -3 by Friday.

The Falcons play on a short week after defeating Denver Monday night, and they have struggled in the role as road underdog, failing to cover in four of their past five games in this situation.

In Week 2, 14 of 16 home teams won their game, tying an NFL record.

That changes in Week 3.
