Corey Webster Injury: Giants CB Suffers Broken Right Hand

New York Giants cornerback Corey Webster broke his right hand in Thursday night's 36-7 win over the Carolina Panthers, according to a report from Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger.

Webster confirmed the injury, according to the article, missing part of the first half to get X-rays, but returned to play before halftime and finished the game with a hard cast on the injured hand. Webster said he would play next week when the Giants take on the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4.

This comes on a night when safety Antrel Rolle and fellow corner Jayron Hosley, who nabbed an interception off Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, were also injured during play.

Rolle was carted off the field after a collision with camera equipment on the sidelines resulted in a contusion and laceration, head coach Tom Coughlin said in the report. X-rays were negative, however, and Coughlin noted that he didn’t believe the injury was very serious.

Hosley pulled a hamstring muscle in the fourth quarter after getting his jersey yanked during play, Coughlin said.
