Jets Vs. Dolphins, Week 3: ‘This Was One Ugly Victory’

The New York Jets needed a failed attempt at icing their kicker to escape with an overtime win against the Miami Dolphins, and while Jets fans are thrilled with the win, they acknowledge it came by less-than-ideal means.

At first, Scott Salmon of Gang Green Nation wasn’t really sure how it all ended up falling in the Jets’ favor.

That was the single worst game I have ever seen in my life. Yet, we somehow came out with a win. I don’t understand how yet...

After a little time to digest the game, Salmon found some positives from the effort, including something resembling praise for Mark Sanchez.

I will give Sanchez some credit for making the downfield throws we never saw last season, and for getting the offense down the field in overtime to secure the win.

The excitement about the win was tempered not only by disappointment in the team's performance, but by worry in the wake of a potentially serious injury to Darrelle Revis.
