Eagles Vs. Cardinals, Week 3: Turnovers Catch Up To Philly

The Philadelphia Eagles fell to 2-1 on the season after the team was defeated 27-6 by the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon in a game the Cardinals dominated from start to finish. All six of the Eagles points on Sunday came off the leg of Alex Henery and the team's offense was only able to make two red zone trips.

The Eagles turnover tendency to turn the ball over finally caught up to them on Sunday, writes Jason B of SB Nation’s Eagles blog, Bleeding Green Nation. The Eagles offense turned the ball over three times against the Cardinals, but this time the defense was unable to bail them out.

The Eagles played with fire over the first 2 weeks of the season and in week 3 they finally got burnt. Bad... Like, 3rd degree burns. The Eagles were crushed by the Cardinals 27-6 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona.

Just like the first two weeks, they turned the ball over too much. But unlike those first two weeks, the defense didn’t force a bunch of turnovers of their own, they didn’t make big stops and the offense never got itself in a position for a big 4th quarter drive.
