Michael Vick’s Status As Starter Being Scrutinized

After failing to score a touchdown in their 27-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Andy Reid said that Michael Vick is still the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback, but that they will continue to evaluate the position.

The Philadelphia Eagles may be re-evaluating their quarterback situation after they lost to the Arizona Cardinals, 27-6, on Sunday, picking up their first loss of the season. When speaking to the media on Monday, Reid's comments about Vick's performance and a possible quarterback change were not exactly a resounding endorsement of the veteran.

The Eagles failed to score a touchdown against the Cardinals’ defense and only had three drives longer than 35 yards. Vick was 17-of-37 against Arizona, throwing for 213 yards.

In three games this season, Vick has thrown twice as many interceptions (6) as touchdowns (3). Thus far in 2012, Vick is 69-of-125 passing for 905 yards.

If the Eagles do back a change under center, it could be rookie Nick Foles who takes over after he saw considerable action in the preseason when Vick was resting injuries.
