Trent Williams Injury: Redskins OT Escapes With Only A Bone Bruise

Mike Jones, the Redskins’ beat writer for The Washington Post, tweeted that:

Williams was injured on the second offensive play in the Redskins’ 38-31 loss to the Bengals. He was blocking a defender when he went to the ground and had to be attended to by trainers before limping off the field. The offensive lineman tried to return to the game multiple times, but continued to have trouble and eventually stayed out of the game in the third quarter.

Though he was seen walking through the locker room with a limp, Williams said after the game that he was not concerned that the knee injury would be serious. Williams also said he felt his knee gave out on the play which the injury occurred.
