Hakeem Nicks doubtful for Week 4 Giants-Eagles game

Wide receiver Hakeem NIcks is doubtful for Sunday's Giants-Eagles game, according to the Giants' official Twitter account.

Nicks missed last week’s game with a foot injury, and earlier in the week it looked like he would be ready to come back. But according to Dan Hanzus of NFL.com, the wideout has now developed swelling in his knee.

Things certainly don't look promising. Fellow receiver Victor Cruz told the New York Post that he was "disappointed my counterpart won't be out there with me."

Ramses Barden will likely have another great opportunity, starting in place of Nicks. Last weekend Barden managed nine receptions for 138 yards in a blowout win over the Carolina Panthers.

In Week 2, Nicks caught 10 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Since being drafted out of North Carolina in 2009, Nicks has been one of Eli Manning's favorite targets. In his career, the receiver has averaged 74.3 yards per game.
