Titans Vs. Texans: Game Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More

The Titans will travel to Houston on Sunday, and we’ve got a preview, odds, and TV listings for you.

Chris Humphreys-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Houston Texans were a popular pick to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl before the start of the season, and at 3-0 there is very little reason to doubt that those predictions could eventually be correct. They'll be hosting a divisional foe in the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, with the Titans entering the game at 1-2.

The Texans sit third in the NFL in scoring defense, allowing just 14 points per game. They're even stingier with the yardage they allow, as their 255.7 yards per game allowed has them trailing only the Dallas Cowboys.

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has emphasized the importance of protecting quarterback Matt Schaub this week, as Schaub lost a piece of his earlobe last Sunday against the Broncos. The Texans have done a pretty good job of that so far this season, as they've allowed only three sacks through the first three weeks of action.

Tennessee, meanwhile, needs to improve its rushing attack if it hopes to pull within a game of the Texans in the AFC South. The Titans are gaining a league worst 39 yards per game on the ground, trailing the next closest team by just over 23 yards per contest. Their lack of any sort of ground game has led to an NFL-worst time of possession, forcing their defense to spend far too much time on the field.

The odds for this one have been set, and it’s not expected to be a particularly close game by the fine folks in Las Vegas. OddsShark likes the Texans to win by 13.5 points, with the over/under for the game set at 45.

Game Date/Time: Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1:00 p.m. ET

Location: Reliant Stadium, Houston, Texas
