Cardinals Ink Daryl Washington To Multi-Year Contract Extension
The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a six-year deal with linebacker Daryl Washington,

General manager Rod Graves mentioned early in training camp that the team was planning on opening talks about a contract extension with the 25-year-old linebacker, while Washington expressed an interest in securing his future as a member of the Cardinals. Thursday, they made those interests a reality by locking the linebacker up through the 2017 season.
Washington, a second-round pick in 2010 out of TCU, was the Cardinals’ leading tackler last season with 111 (100 solo). In 15 games, he had five sacks, two interceptions and 16 tackles for a loss, the most tackles for a loss by a Cardinals player since Clyde Simmons had 17 in 1995.
Financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
