During the six-game winning streak for the Seattle Seahawks, not many teams have been able to stop rookie quarterback Russell Wilson. Atlanta Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon told 790 The Zone in Atlanta with Archer and Bell that he thinks he has the formula to shut down Wilson on Sunday, though.
Seahawks vs. Falcons: Sean Weatherspoon knows how to stop Russell Wilson
Wilson has thrown for a touchdown in 10 consecutive games and has led the Seahawks to six straight wins.

“I think it starts with stopping the run, securing your gaps and make sure you tackle and tackle well. Marshawn, he’s broke a lot of tackles this season, the quarterback is elusive, so the key will be just wrapping guys up and getting them down to the ground. That’ll help us ... to get in those third-and-longer situations where we feel like we can be more effective.”
The Falcons did not meet the Seahawks during the regular season, but the Atlanta defense allowed the fifth-fewest points in the NFL, despite finishing No. 24 in the league in yardage allowed.
Wilson has thrown 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions in the last six games for the Seahawks, with a quarterback rating of at least 88.0 in each game. Not since a Week 7 game against the San Francisco 49ers has Wilson finished without a touchdown.
Kickoff between the Seahawks and 49ers is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday and will be televised on Fox.
