NFL All-Pro team 2012 snubs: Luke Kuechly, Eric Berry lead list

Some of the biggest omissions were on defense for the All-Pro team.

The NFL All-Pro team was announced for the 2012 season, and while many deserving players found themselves recognized, others were left off the list.

The defense appeared to be the most glaring group, with terrific youngsters Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers and Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs being left out.

Kuechly led the NFL in tackles and was one of the top inside linebackers, but was ignored for this prestigious honor. Berry made the Pro Bowl after many wondered if he could come back from a torn ACL. Instead, Eric Weddle and Jairus Byrd made the team.

Another linebacker who has a good case is Derrick Johnson of Kansas City. Just about any coach in football would tell you Johnson is a top-four inside linebacker.

Offensively, the committee did a solid job. One could make the argument for Andrew Luck, considering the amount of passing yards he accrued and the excellent job he did in helping turn the Indianapolis Colts around, but he also tossed 18 interceptions, tying him with Mark Sanchez.

Doug Martin had a terrific year as a rookie for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, amassing 1,454 rushing yards and 472 receiving yards.
