Rob Gronkowski injury: Tight end to miss rest of playoffs, per report

The Patriots massive tight end creates a massive hole in their roster after suffering a broken forearm.

Rob Gronkowski left the New England Patriots' playoff game against the Houston Texans when he landed hard on his left forearm, which he broke less than two months ago. He was initially ruled questionable, then ruled out for a return. A Pro Football Talk report initially stated that Gronkowski will be out for the rest of the playoffs and need to undergo surgery on a broken forearm, and the Boston Herald's Jeff Howe is now also reporting that Gronkowski broke his arm.

The Patriots haven’t really missed Gronkowski against the Texans, but his loss is a huge blow to the offense. In 11 games this season, Gronkowski had 55 catches for 790 yards and 11 touchdowns. He didn’t catch a pass in the game against the Texans.

The Patriots seem to be a safe bet to advance vs. the Texans, and will host the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday in the AFC Championship Game.
