The Tennessee Titans have named Sylvester Croom as their new running backs coach, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union. Croom was serving in the same position at Jacksonville, but he likely wanted to make the change with new head coach Gus Bradley coming to town.
Titans coaching moves: Sylvester Croom named running backs coach
Sylvester Croom has left the Jaguars, making a lateral move to Tennessee.

Croom has spent many years in the NFL coaching running backs. He first broke into the league with Tampa Bay back in 1987. He has been with seven different teams, including the Colts, Chargers, Lions, Packers and Rams. Croom worked as the offensive coordinator for the Lions from 1997 to 2000, and he also was the head coach at Mississippi State from 2004 to 2008 before returning to the professional ranks in St. Louis.
Chris Johnson is waiting for Croom in Tennessee, which would be appealing to any coach. The speedy back struggled for much of 2012, but he recovered to pick up 1,243 yards in 276 carries.
