David Akers hasn't been very good this season. He's been so ineffective, in fact, that before the playoffs, the San Francisco 49ers brought in Billy Cundiff, cut from two different teams in 2012, to see if he would be a better idea. Cundiff couldn't win the job, but Akers...yeah, it appears he still has some problems. He doinked a 38-yard field goal — in a dome, it's worth pointing out — that would have tied the AFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons, 24-24. Instead the Niners are still down three.
