The NFL will review Tom Brady’s slide during Sunday’s AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Ed Werder of ESPN.

Brady slid during the second quarter of the game and lifted his right leg up while doing so, connecting with Ravens safety Ed Reed. Neither Reed or Brady was hurt, and Brady wasn’t penalized on the play.
Ravens safety Bernard Pollard, who ended Brady’s season in 2008 with a hit below the knees, said Brady’s slide was “bull crap”:
“You’ve got to keep them legs down,” said Pollard. “You’ve go to keep the legs down. We all know and understand what’s going on there. And as a quarterback, when you go to slide, we’re taught . . . we can’t do anything. When you come sliding, and your leg is up in the air trying to kick somebody, that’s bull crap.”
According to Yahoo! Sports, a first offense for kicking is a fine of $7,875.
Pollard has a long history with the Patriots. He was also responsible for hurting tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Wes Welker. He also tackled Stevan Ridley on Sunday, which resulted in a concussion.
Pollard is no stranger to getting fined himself. He’s been fined more than $100,000 this season alone for illegal hits -- and he only played in 13 games.
