Former St. Louis Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is "free to pursue coaching jobs," according to Albert Breer of NFL.com.

Williams was suspended indefinitely in March 2012 in light of the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal. His suspension still has not been lifted, but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell "will evaluate Williams' status on reinstatement after he lands a job," according to Breer.
Williams was released by the Rams earlier this month. The Rams hired him in January of 2012, but he never coached a game with the Rams because of the Saints bounty scandal.
The 54 year old was the defensive coordinator for the Saints from 2009 through 2011. Before that he was the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Washington Redskins.
He spent three seasons as the head coach of the Buffalo Bills starting in 2001, compiling a 17-31 overall record. He never led the Bills to the postseason. It was his only tenure as an NFL head coach.
