Super Bowl commercials 2013: Subaru loves dogs

Subaru is continuing to target the dog demographic, as the car manufacturer gave a sneak peek at its Super Bowl commercials this year.

With the Super Bowl just days away, speculation about this year’s slate of commercials is really starting to heat up. Subaru has now pre-released one of its commercials, and this advertisement isn’t going after just your everyday driver.

Dogs will be the target audience for Subaru come Super Bowl Sunday. Or, at least, dog owners. Their newest commercial is short and to the point but gets the message across that their cars are dog-friendly. You can view the short clip here, unless you don’t want to the ruin the suspense leading up to kickoff.

Dog tested. Dog approved. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen car manufacturer use that slogan. If you’ll recall last year’s Super Bowl, we saw the similar campaign from Subaru. Clearly the folks working over there do not care about you cat owners, sorry to say.

The marketing campaign appears to be successful on social media as well, so apparently Subaru is on to something here. If you own a dog, why not own a Subaru? Expect to see plenty of these commercials during this year’s Puppy Bowl as well.
