Super Bowl 2013: John Harbaugh ‘couldn’t be more proud’ of Jim

John Harbaugh took to the podium at Tuesday’s Media Day for Super Bowl XLVII, and said that he won when he competed with his brother Jim as a kid.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was grilled about his sibling rivalry with his brother at Media Day for Super Bowl XLVII on Tuesday, and was very forthcoming. When prodded by Deion Sanders, John Harbaugh admitted "I won" whenever the two competed as kids. And the two competed all the time.

“He refused to admit it was his turn [to cut the grass],” Harbaugh said.

That said, Harbaugh admitted that “there is no loser in this game, either side.” There is a lot of mutual respect between both men, according to Harbaugh, and no matter what happens he said that he “just couldn’t be more proud” of Jim. The two fought at times, but Harbaugh had no trouble admitting that “we love each other.”

When asked what he will say to his brother after the game, John Harbaugh was succinct: “Tell him I’m proud of him, tell him I love him, and tell him I’ll see him next time.”
