Robert Griffin III and the heartbreaking Washington Post sports page

Robert Griffin III and the Redskins had the worst case scenario come to life in the NFL Playoffs Sunday. Now we have a front page to commemorate the misery.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Robert Griffin III played most of the Redskins playoff game on one leg Sunday. It was horrible to watch, and a horrible way for a great season to end. And courtesy of the Washington Post sports department Monday, we have a front page that encapsulates the entire day.

On one hand, this picture tells like 100,000 words and it captures the mood in D.C. as well as anything we’ve seen anywhere. So that’s an accomplishment. On the other hand, GAHHHHHHHHH knees aren’t supposed to bend that way Sunday was so awful make it stop nobody needs to be reminded how horrible that game was please please please kill it now kill it with fire.

What do you think?

For better or worse, D.C. sports fans now have front page to commemorate that awful, miserable game forever. Like how people save the newspapers from when their team wins the Super Bowl, except the complete opposite. BURN THE WASHINGTON POST, REDSKINS FANS. BURN IT NOW PURGE THE MEMORIES GO GO GO.
