Chiefs GM rumors: Packers’ John Dorsey interviewed on Monday

John Dorsey, the reported favorite for the Chiefs general manager vacancy, interviewed with Kansas City on Monday.

After hiring Andy Reid as the new head coach, the Kansas City Chiefs have turned their attention to filling their general manager vacancy. Green Bay Packers director of operations John Dorsey is reported to be the favorite for the job and he interviewed with Kansas City on Monday, according to a report from NBC 26 in Green Bay.

Dorsey has an impressive resume and a history with Andy Reid, leading some to call him the “clear-cut favorite” to replace Scott Pioli. Dorsey has 22 years of NFL front office experience. He’s spent most of his career with the Green Bay Packers including 12 years as the director of college scouting. His relationship with Reid dates back to Reid’s time as an assistant coach with Green Bay.

Even though previous reports indicated Reid would have full control over personnel, he confirmed on Monday that the new general manager will have the final say. For complete coverage of Kansas City’s general manager search, including Dorsey’s candidacy, head over to Arrowhead Pride.
