Eli Manning continued his downward spiral in the first half of Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears. The Giants' quarterback threw two interceptions, allowing the Bears to jump to a lead in what's become a back-and-forth affair. Chicago currently leads at the half, 24-14.

Manning's second interception was the most damaging, as he failed to see cornerback Tim Jennings read the route before throwing it right into the defender's hands for an easy pick-six.

New York's saving grace was its running game, as Brandon Jacobs turned back the clock to run for 57 yards, including a four-yard touchdown at the end of the first quarter.

Chicago settled down following the Jacobs touchdown and put together a long drive that ended in a simple pitch-and-catch between Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall to extend the lead, quickly followed by another drive resulting in yet another Marshall touchdown.

Neither team’s pass rush has been very effective, giving both sides large buffers. The second half will hinge on pass rushing and how well each team’s secondary can hold.
