The Buffalo Bills host the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday from Ralph Wilson Stadium, where one team will be trying to climb back to .500 while the other eyes first place in its division.
How to watch Bengals vs. Bills 2013 online, TV schedule, radio and more
With E.J. Manuel sidelined for the foreseeable future, the Bills trot out a quarterback that was taking reps on the practice squad just over a week ago. This one could get interesting.
The Bills took a hit last Thursday, not only falling to the Browns to drop to 2-3, but losing starting quarterback E.J. Manuel for 4-8 weeks with a knee injury. In his place on Sunday against the Bengals will be Thad Lewis, who was promoted from the practice squad last week in the wake of Manuel's injury. Lewis's only other NFL start came with the Browns in Week 17 of last season, during which he threw for 204 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Steelers.
To welcome him back to the league, Lewis draws a Bengals defense that just ended Tom Brady's 52-game touchdown streak in a dominating 13-6 win over the Patriots. Cincinnati's own quarterback situation is a bit shaky as well, however, with Andy Dalton riding somewhat of a roller coaster year in leading his team to a 3-2 start. He's had a completion percentage above 71 percent in three games this season and below 56 percent in two others.
