Randall Cobb injury: Packers WR out vs. Ravens after hurting knee

Green Bay is already without James Jones, and now Randall Cobb will miss the second half with a knee injury.

Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb took a low shot from Ravens safety Matt Elam as he was making a catch on Sunday and limped off of the field with an apparent knee injury. Cobb is leading Green Bay in receiving today with four catches for 53 yards, but his status for the rest of the game is not yet known.

Cobb, a second-round pick out of Kentucky in 2011, broke out last season with 80 catches for 954 yards and eight touchdowns but he’s having an even better season this year. In addition to being a talented receiver, Cobb has also been one of the best punt and kick return men in the league since coming in three years ago.

He has 29 catches for 378 yards and two touchdowns this year.

Fellow Packers receiver James Jones went down earlier in the game, leaving Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense very shorthanded against the Ravens unless they return. Jones has already been ruled out for the rest of the game by the Packers. More on the injury to Jones here.

UPDATE: The Packers have now announced that Cobb will not return against the Ravens. The team clarified that the injury is to the knee. Rodgers is now without his two of his top three targets for the second half, but the Green Bay defense is pitching a shutout so far in Baltimore.
