Michael Irvin and Warren Sapp recently debated whether Reggie Wayne was the best NFL receiver to come out of their alma mater. Most would instantly rank Irvin ahead of Wayne, but the Colts lifer persists with an overhauled roster in Indy. On Monday night, he kept another streak alive and he could start pushing Irvin if he continues his production with Andrew Luck’s continued ascendance:
Reggie Wayne continues reception streak with flea-flicker grab on ‘Monday Night Football’
Reggie Wayne: 118th straight game with reception, 3rd-longest active streak (Tony Gonzalez 200, Larry Fitzgerald 139)

That’s not bad company.
The streak continued on the first official play from scrimmage, a flea-flicker in which Wayne rope-a-doped the defensive back by slowly jogging off the line of scrimmage and then bolting across the field once Trent Richardson pitched it back to Luck.
He’ll never have the celebrity of Irvin, but could the best-ever U receiver become a debate in the sunset of Wayne’s career?
