Cowboys vs. Eagles 2013 results: Nick Foles ineffective, injured in loss to Dallas
The Cowboys defense locked down Chip Kelly’s offense and moved into first place in the NFC East, while Eagles QB Matt Barkley made his NFL debut.
A week after a four-touchdown performance against the Buccaneers, Eagles QB Nick Foles was just 11-of-29 for 80 yards and no touchdowns before leaving in the fourth quarter with a head injury. With starter Michael Vick injured on the sidelines, Foles was replaced by rookie Matt Barkley but that did not improve their chances on Sunday. Barkley threw three interceptions on 20 pass attempts.
Cowboys QB Tony Romo wasn’t a whole lot better, throwing two picks himself, but with the defense doing its job to shut down the Eagles, he did enough. Philadelphia has lost a franchise-record nine straight games at home.
Fantasy Studs and Duds
Cowboys rookie wideout Terrance Williams had 71 yards and a touchdown. Dez Bryant added 110 receiving yards of his own.
Foles was a big disappointment, LeSean McCoy had just 81 total yards and no touchdowns, and DeSean Jackson had just 21 receiving yards.
Injury Report
Foles is the most notable known injury in this game.
