NFL odds and lines, Week 8: Giants vs. Eagles 2013

The Philadelphia Eagles are favored to complete a sweep of the NFC East rival New York Giants on Sunday.

Rich Schultz

The New York Giants managed their first win of the season in Week 7, but they have a tough NFC East matchup coming up. They're set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles, who have struggled at 3-4, but have certainly looked a lot better than the Giants have through seven weeks.

New York won what had to be one of the ugliest games of all time on Monday night, beating the Minnesota Vikings to snap a six-game losing streak. Philadelphia is coming off a loss to another division rival, the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to that, the team had won two straight games, including the first meeting with the Giants in New York in Week 5.

Now at home, the Eagles are favored to win. They opened as 4-point favorites, but the line has moved significantly in their favor throughout the week. According to OddsShark, the Eagles can be had for as much as 7-point favorites midweek. The over/under on the matchup is set at 52.5.

That total has gone under in 11 of New York’s last 14 games on the road, and over in seven of Philadelphia’s last nine games at home.
