New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has been given medical clearance and will play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network. Amendola sustained a nasty-looking concussion against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6.
Danny Amendola cleared, will play against Dolphins, per report
New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has been cleared and will play against the Miami Dolphins, according to a report.

Amendola was ruled out against the New York Jets in Week 7, a game the Patriots ended up losing. But he did return to practice this week and took part in all three sessions. He said he was good to go on Friday, but this is some solid confirmation that he passed all of his required concussion tests, including the final test on Saturday.
This will be just the fourth game Amendola has played in this season. He caught 10 passes for 104 yards in his Patriots debut against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, but then missed multiple games with injuries. After returning against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5, he caught four passes for 55 yards. Against the Saints, he didn't have any yards prior to his concussion.
If he can get healthy and stay healthy, Amendola could be huge for the Patriots, who have just the No. 20 passing attack in the NFL with Tom Brady at the helm.
