The Arizona Cardinals have dominated the reeling Atlanta Falcons so far and lead big at halftime, 21-6.
Falcons vs. Cardinals 2013, Week 8: Cardinals dominating at halftime
The Falcons’ nightmare season continues.

The game started out as a defensive struggle, with the Falcons scoring the only points of the first quarter on a field goal. Arizona rapidly turned the tide in the second quarter, though. Carson Palmer hooked up with Larry Fitzgerald from 10 yards out to give the Cardinals the lead. They poured it on later with a brilliant 80-yard touchdown run by Andre Ellington and a 15-yard score from Palmer to Michael Floyd.
With Roddy White out again, the Falcons are down to Harry Douglas as their top receiver. He stepped up big last week but has struggled to find an encore against the Cardinals, getting just five catches for 39 yards at the half. Steven Jackson made his long-awaited return from injury but has been miserable, managing only 2 yards on eight carries.
With Atlanta continuing to disappoint, don’t expect the Tony Gonzalez trade rumors to go away before Tuesday’s trade deadline.
