NFL Week 9: Experts’ picks for all 13 games

SB Nation’s experts believe there are only three easy games this weekend.

The second half of the NFL season begins this Sunday and the league’s parity has resulted in a lot of uncertainty in this week’s picks.

Only three games were picked unanimously by SB Nation's panel of experts, with the Seattle Seahawks poised to cruise past the winless Buccaneers, the Cowboys expected to beat the Vikings and the Chicago Bears set to lose an almost impossible test without Jay Cutler against the Green Bay Packers.

Prior to the season it would have been easy to pencil in a win for the Washington Redskins over the San Diego Chargers. Robert Griffin III was coming off a trip to the playoffs in his first year, while the Chargers were pegged to be rebuilding under first-year head coach Mike McCoy. Inconsistency from Griffin and the Redskins has caused the team to start sluggishly at 2-5, while the Chargers are exceeding expectations with a 4-3 record.

This is a game between the third-place team in the NFL's weakest division and the third-place team in its strongest division. Despite having a winning record, it's unlikely San Diego can catch either the Denver Broncos or Kansas City Chiefs, while a terrible record might not be enough to keep Washington from the postseason, provided the Redskins can win at home this weekend.

One of the most intriguing matchups happens in New York, where the unpredictable Jets face a juggernaut in the New Orleans Saints on an afternoon where brothers Rex and Rob Ryan will be staring across the field at each other. Rob has the Saints' defense playing on a level to match its high-powered offense, while the Jets have a knack for playing well against top-flight opponents.

Only David Fucillo believes New York has what it takes, but this could be a trap game for the one-loss Saints. The Patriots learned the hard way about overlooking a potent defensive line with an ability to make impact plays and derail a top passer, a mistake New Orleans could make if it looks past the Jets to much tougher opponents coming up.
