New England is also coming off a bye week following their win over Pittsburgh. That win was big because it was the first game in which the Patriots scored more than 30 points this season, something of a rarity given the offensive dominance of the last few seasons. Carolina’s win over San Francisco wasn’t quite as exciting, but the defensive performance put forward in the 10-9 victory was definitely a sight to see.
Carolina opened as 1.5-point favorites for the matchup, though the line has went in both directions throughout the week, as noted by OddsShark. Some sites narrowed, with the Panthers favored by just one point, while one of the big sites has them favored by a whopping 2.5 points. It should be interesting, to say the least.
The over/under is between 45.5 and 46.5 points. That total has gone over in four of New England’s last six games and under in four of Carolina’s last five games at home.
