The Lions had a bye in Week 9, but Ansah was still not ready to practice, wearing a walking boot for several days. Detroit held him out of last week's game against the Chicago Bears. There is no set timetable for his return.
The Lions took Ansah with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Considered one of the rawest pass rushers in the first round, Ansah has had inconsistent production in his rookie season. Through eight games, he recorded three sacks, two forced fumbles and 18 tackles. Devin Taylor and Willie Young will fill in for Ansah at his starting spot until he's healthy.
