The Oakland Raiders are making a switch at quarterback following a knee injury to Terrelle Pryor. Rookie Matt McGloin will make his first NFL start against the Houston Texans in Week 11.

An undrafted free agent will start for the Raiders, while there’s no indication who will start at linebacker for the Jaguars.


McGloin was signed as an undrafted free agent from Penn State. He impressed in training camp, beating out veteran Matt Flynn after a preseason where he completed 57 percent of his passes, throwing two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Linebacker Paul Posluszny is recovering from a concussion sustained in Week 10, leaving the team vulnerable at the position.
Jacksonville was already short a linebacker with the news that LaRoy Reynolds will be suspended four games for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy. Without Posluszny and Reynolds, the team could struggle to stop speedy Cardinals running back Andre Ellington.
The Detroit Lions are poised to have a more difficult day on defense against Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as defensive end Ziggy Ansah is expected to miss the game on Sunday.
Ansah suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 8 and used the team’s bye week to recover, also missing a Week 10 game against Chicago. Ansah has recorded 19 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles.
Mike McCormack was the first president of the Carolina Panthers and instrumental in helping to bring a franchise to Carolina. McCormack was the organization's first entrant into the team's Hall of Honor and it was announced Saturday that he passed away at age 83.
There's no indication at this time whether the team will hold a ceremony prior to its Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots.
