More on the matchup: Four years have passed since the Lions and Steelers faced off. The meeting happened during Matthew Stafford's rookie season, but he was unable to play due to injury. Ben Roethlisberger threw three touchdowns in a 28-20 victory. Things have changed since that time. Gone is Pittsburgh's choking defense, and the ground-based offense has evaporated for a team without a reliable offensive line. Things are set up for Detroit to build on its lead in the NFC North, and ensure the team won't need to find a back door through a Wild Card.
