Pouncey missed the first game of his career on Sunday, when he sat against the Chargers. The former Florida Gator has been a staple of the Dolphins offensive line for three seasons, and with Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito dealing with off-the-field issues, Miami needs him to be healthy. The hope is that medicine cures his illness so he can come back quicker and avoid surgery that would keep him out for an extended period of time.
The Dolphins have won two of their last three games and are in the midst of the AFC Wild Card hunt. Miami will host the surging Carolina Panthers in Week 12.
