NFL picks and predictions, Week 12: Vikings vs. Packers 2013

The Green Bay Packers may be on a losing skid, but experts tend to think they’ll have more than enough to handle the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.

The Green Bay Packers are set to take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. It's an NFC North rivalry game, but both teams have struggled this season, meaning we are seeing the No. 3 and No. 4 teams in the division go at it, which is surprising.

Seahawks atop NFC standings

Few thought the Packers would be at this point, but they trail the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions. Green Bay has last its last three games, including losses that stick out: a 27-13 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles and a 27-13 contest against the New York Giants. Then again, the injury to Aaron Rodgers is a pretty big deal.

Minnesota is just bad at this point. The Vikings can't even run the ball as well as they used to, and the quarterback position is a constant question mark. The Vikings are 2-8 on the season and were just dominated by the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11.

Surprisingly, one of SB Nation’s NFL experts picked the Vikings to score the upset on the road. That was Joel Thorman, who was the lone dissenter of the six. Ryan Van Bibber, Jason Chilton, Stephen White, David Fucillo and Matt Ufford all picked the Packers to win it.

It’s the same story over at CBS Sports, where guys like Jason La Canfora and Pete Prisco are among the seven picking the Packers to win. Josh Katzowitz is the dissenter there, picking the Vikings to win it. The game is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
