NFL news roundup: Erik Walden suspension upheld, more Richie Incognito accusations

The Indianapolis Colts will be without Erik Walden for one game, Richie Incognito has even more drama surrounding him and more you might have missed from Tuesday in the NFL.

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts will be without Erik Walden in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals. The NFL upheld Walden's one-game suspension, handed down for his headbutt on Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker. Walden used his helmet as a weapon when he smashed his head into Walker, who had his helmet ripped off by Walden at the end of a play.

Here’s what else you might have missed from Tuesday:

More Incognito allegations

Richie Incognito was the subject of more allegations on Tuesday, with a report that suggested he harassed a Miami Dolphins staffer. Incognito allegedly mocked the staffer's ethnic background, according to the report. Incognito is currently suspended for his alleged mistreatment of teammate Jonathan Martin, who also has not returned to the team after leaving of his own volition.

Goldson suspension upheld

The NFL also upheld the one-game suspension of Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson on Tuesday. Goldson was suspended for an illegal hit to Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White in Sunday's game, a win for the Bucs. Goldson has been fined multiple times already this season, hence the suspension and the decision to stick with it by the league office.

Greer placed on injured reserve

New Orleans Saints cornerback Jabari Greer was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. Greer's season is now over, as it's far too late for Greer to hope to return following a serious knee injury against the San Francisco 49ers. He jumped to defend a pass and landed awkwardly, immediately falling to the ground. Corey White will likely step into the starting lineup in Greer's absence.

Moore to injured reserve

Denver Broncos safety Rahim Moore was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. Moore was placed with the return designation, meaning he'd actually be able to return for the AFC Championship game if the Broncos made it that far. Moore underwent surgery on his leg to stop bleeding in a muscle, and a timetable for his recovery is currently not available. The team signed Michael Huff as a potential replacement.

Pouncey trying to avoid surgery

Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Mike Pouncey is dealing with a gallbladder issue and doctors are trying to cure the problem through medicine to avoid surgery. Pouncey missed the first game of his career on Sunday when he didn't play against the San Diego Chargers. If Pouncey has to have surgery, he'd obviously miss a significant chunk of time.
