NFL odds and lines, Week 12: Bears vs. Rams 2013

The Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams are just about even in the betting lines in advance of their Week 12 matchup.

Jonathan Daniel

The St. Louis Rams are set to play host to the Chicago Bears for a Week 12 matchup on Sunday. St. Louis (4-6) has struggled this season, unable to find a consistent offense, but things are looking up after a three-game losing skid was snapped in Week 10. Chicago (6-4) is in a first-place tie with the Detroit Lions in the NFC North after a solid 23-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in overtime in Week 11.

St. Louis is coming off a bye week, and should have some momentum -- whatever that is worth -- after routing the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. Chicago fell to Detroit in Week 10 (and was swept by the Lions thanks to a Week 4 loss in Detroit), but followed that up with the big win over Baltimore. The schedule is fairly easy from here on out, so the Bears are definitely hoping for a first-place finish in the NFC North.

While the Bears are better on paper, this game is being played in St. Louis, and the Rams did dominate the Colts. That’s led to an even opening line, according to OddsShark. Only one of the top sites had shifted by midweek, favoring the Rams by a single point.

The over/under for the matchup is right around 46 points. That total has gone over in nine of Chicago’s last 12 games, and over in six of St. Louis’ last seven.
