Kim Klement-USA TODAY SportsLosing Revis would be a major blow to a Bucs secondary tasked with reigning in Calvin Johnson. Revis had shadowed Johnson all over the field before his exit, limiting the game’s best receiver to four receptions for 61 yards. Johnson has already made two more grabs with Revis off the field.
The Bucs are having to adjust by moving to more Cover 2 looks, which should open up some running lanes for the Lions up the middle.

Burleson shows pizza-broken arm after TD

Leon HalipWe don’t like to make fun of people who get injured, but we still have not stopped laughing at the fact that Nate Burleson broke his arm trying to save pizza from falling off the passenger seat of his car. Burleson is back in action and caught a TD today... something he celebrated by showing the arm he broke:

USA TODAY SportsIn his seven games of action this year, Glennon has posted a 62.1 completion percentage, throwing for 1,535 yards and 11 touchdowns against only four interceptions. Last week versus Atlanta, Glennon was a sparkling 20 of 23 for 231 yards and a pair of scores.
Defensively, things have been so-so. The Lions struggle to stop the pass consistently with a shoddy secondary that ranks 30th in passing yards allowed per game at 283.8. However, the front seven is solid, giving up 94.6 rushing yards per game, fifth-best in football.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY SportsIt’s an interesting tactic for Revis, who gives up a significant height advantage and almost 40 pounds of weight to the league’s best receiver. Johnson has been near-unstoppable in 2013, catching 59 passes for more than 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. He’s the only wide receiver in the league to have double-digit touchdowns, and six weeks remain in the season. To put Johnson’s numbers in perspective he would be a top-20 receiver from last year, and he’s played in 10 games.
None of this scares Revis.
