San Francisco 49ers cornerback Tarell Brown will likely miss Monday's game against the Washington Redskins, but is expected to return this season according to head coach Jim Harbaugh. Brown is suffering from a ribs injury that happened on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. He stayed overnight in New Orleans after the game due to the injury.
Tarell Brown injury: 49ers expect CB to return this season
San Francisco will have to rely more on Eric Wright this season for as long as Brown is out.

Brown has not recorded an interception this season and has nine pass deflections in 10 games. He had made 47 straight starts --including playoffs -- at corner for the 49ers but that streak will end on Monday. Last season he had two interceptions and 13 pass deflections as San Francisco won the NFC, with Brown recording an interception against the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round.
The 49ers will rely heavily on Tramaine Brock and Eric Wright in Brown's absence. Wright has 81 career starts and 14 career interceptions but has played in just one game this year. He made 10 starts for the Buccaneers in 2012.
