The Rams will have a little less talent on defense moving forward this season. St. Louis has placed starting cornerback Cortland Finnegan on injured reserve, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Safety T.J. McDonald has been activated from the injured reserve (designated to return) to fill Finnegan's spot.
Cortland Finnegan Injury: Rams CB placed on injured reserve
The Rams will be without their top cornerback for the rest of the season.

Finnegan injured his eye recently and was listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bears. An eight-year veteran, Finnegan has played the last two seasons with the Rams. The former Pro Bowl defensive back had just 27 tackles and an interception in seven games this season.
McDonald started the first four games of the season for the Rams before being placed on injured reserve. He has 18 tackles on the season. He was a third-round pick in this year’s draft and was an All-Pac 12 selection at USC. Darian Stewart has served as McDonald’s replacement since he has missed time.
