Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson plans on playing on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, according the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Adrian Peterson injury: Vikings RB plans to play despite groin issue
The Vikings running back told reporters he plans to play on Sunday despite a nagging groin injury.

Peterson was listed as questionable on this week’s injury report with a groin injury and has missed significant practice time while dealing with the issue. The veteran running back has been dealing with the injury that has limited him in recent games; Peterson has had 41 carries in the past two games combined, but has averaged just 3.4 yards per carry in that period.
The Vikings have won just two games on the season and have struggled to regain the success of their playoff season of 2012. Petersen, who was the catalyst for the Vikings offense last season, has been solid in 2013 but not spectacular. The running back has gained 851 yards in 10 games this season and has just three 100-yard games so far in 2013 after recording ten in 2012.
