The Seahawks are looking to fill a hole in their cornerback unit. Walter Thurmond was suspended for four games on Sunday for violating the league's substance abuse problem. The most likely replacement for Thurmond could be former Seahawks defensive back Antoine Winfield, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. The possibility of Winfield signing was increased after Seattle recently reached out to the veteran, per Garafolo.
Seahawks contact Antoine Winfield, per report
The Seahawks could be looking for a replacement for the recently suspended Walter Thurmond and they seem to already have someone in mind.

Winfield participated in training camp and the preseason with the Seahawks after spending years with the Vikings. A three-time Pro Bowl and one-time All-Pro selection, Winfield is older but talented. In 14 years, Winfield collected 27 interceptions and 14 forced fumbles. Adding the 36-year-old to the lineup would likely be for depth in the nickel coverage unit.
The Seahawks also have Jeremy Lane and Bryon Maxwell behind starters Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman. Seattle will host the Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 13.
