Bengals vs. Chargers 2013, Week 13: Cincinnati gets critical road win in San Diego

Over at Cincy Jungle, Josh Kirkendall wrote about the Bengals’ defensive showing against the high-powered Chargers:

The Chargers drove down the field to get a field goal and pull the game within seven points, but that was as close as they would get. The Bengals turned to Green-Ellis on the final drive, and he rewarded their faith. He helped churn out first downs on the final drive and finished the game with 92 rushing yards and a touchdown.

In the fourth quarter, the Bengals simply ran the ball right at the Chargers, improving to 8-4 and taking a two-game lead in the AFC North.

The SB Nation panel of six is split by a vote of 4-2 in favor of Cincinnati.

The over/under for this matchup is 48 points. The Chargers have had the score go under in five of their last seven games. The Bengals are 6-5 against the spread this season, while the Chargers are 5-6. Both teams average around 25 points, but the Bengals hold teams to an average of 18.7 points per game while the Chargers give away 23.6 points per contest.
