Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta was not activated by the 4 p.m. deadline and will not play in the team's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night, according to Clifton Brown of Comcast Sportsnet.
Dennis Pitta not active for Ravens vs. Steelers, will return in Week 14
Pitta will not make his season debut on Thanksgiving.

Pitta dislocated his hip over the summer and hasn’t played a game in 2013. While he won’t play on Thanksgiving, Pitta is expected to make his season debut in Week 14.
After Baltimore's Week 13 game, the Ravens will have 10 days between games for Pitta to get right. His presence in the lineup will be welcome for Joe Flacco, who has seen his production drop off after a spectacular run through the postseason last year.
Pitta had 61 catches for 669 for seven touchdowns in 2012 and became one of Flacco's main targets during the Ravens' Super Bowl run. Given the lack of impact of the tight end position in Baltimore's offense this season, Pitta's return will be a welcome return.
