The Vikings have beaten the Cowboys in seven of their last eight meetings, and even with Minnesota struggling this year things look good in Dallas. Despite putting Christian Ponder back into the starting position a few weeks after he lost the job, plus the return of DeMarco Murray for the Cowboys, the Vikings lead 10-6 at halftime.
Christian Ponder stakes Vikings to halftime lead over the Cowboys
Not only has Ponder run in for his fourth touchdown of the year, but the Vikings defense has shut down the potent Dallas offense.

Ponder has played well against Dallas, completing 14-of-21 passes for 117 yards. With under two minutes to go before halftime, Ponder ran in for a seven-yard touchdown to give the Vikings the lead. He now has four rushing touchdowns on the season against just two scores through the air.
Ponder has been supported once again by reigning MVP Adrian Peterson, who has 14 carries for 60 yards. The Minnesota defense, which is 30th in the NFL in points allowed, is having its best performance of the season.
Besides holding the Cowboys to just six points at half, they have limited quarterback Tony Romo to completing 13-of-20 passes for 120 yards and no touchdowns. Murray has returned to carry it three times for 31 yards.
It is only the second time this season that Dallas has trailed at halftime.
