Adrian Peterson touchdown puts Vikings on top

The Vikings running back is having another banner day and the hits keep on coming.

Adrian Peterson is already one of the all-time great running backs in NFL history, but he's still piling up milestones. Peterson has 24 carries for 139 yards against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, his 40th career 100-yard game.

With the Vikings down 20-17 against Dallas in the fourth quarter. Peterson appeared to get stopped at the 5-yard line but ended up forcing his way into the end zone to give his team the lead with a little help from his friend. Minnesota went up 23-20 after Blair Walsh missed the extra point.

Peterson is the 17th player in NFL history to have 40 100-yard games and he moved into 30th all-time in career rushing yards, ahead of Frank Gore, who is on a bye week. There's still time left for Peterson to add to that total and perhaps even lead the Vikings to an upset win in Dallas.
