The Jonathan Martin situation has finally come to a legal head in Miami.
Dolphins ask NFL for ‘objective and thorough review’ of Jonathan Martin situation
The Miami offensive lineman filed formal charges against his team that include accusations of “player misconduct.”

A second-round pick in 2012, Martin abruptly left the Dolphins on Monday. FOX reported that the offensive lineman from Stanford was upset after his teammates left him sitting alone at a table in the team cafeteria.
Sunday, the Dolphins officially acknowledged that they had spoken with Martin’s attorney:
“We received notification today from Jonathan’s representation about allegations of player misconduct. We are taking these allegations very seriously and plan to review the matter further. We have also reached out to the NFL and asked them to conduct an objective and thorough review. As an organization, we are committed to a culture of team-first accountability and respect for one another.”
ESPN reported on Friday that Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito was involved in the harassment of Martin, which has allegedly been ongoing since last year. The NFL Players Association is reviewing the incident.
With today’s announcement, the situation is now of league concern.
